” Her first day of school will be your last .”

Summary : A group of elementary school kids invite a new girl ( Lilly Quist ) out into the woods at night . That alone would be naughty enough but then you add to it the fact that they tricked her into coming with them in order to sacrifice her to the local woods demon … that’s a whole other layer of delinquent behavior . Things kinda go awry . Still the local kids escape the woods and it looks like they are going to get away with it . At least until Lilly shows up to school with a score to settle and a monstrous appetite .

Review : This book certainly puts the graphic in graphic novel . There is well drawn gore galore all throughout . The plot is a standard monster revenge plot done really well with elementary school kids giving it more of an edge . Most of the characters are what you expect from this type of story just younger which does make it a bit more tragic . Lilly has a pretty creepy/cool design and I dig every time she appears on the page . There is also some light Lovecraftian elements mixed throughout the story . If you want to try a creepy graphic novel this spooky season I’d highly recommend it ! Don’t be afraid , take a bite .
