“Over the past two years , I have , usually at the request of the Warrens , performed about fifty exorcisms . Not all have been successful , the Smurls being an example .”
Summary : This is the official account of the haunting of a Pennsylvania family named the Smurls . Written by a reporter with interviews with the Smurl family , the neighbours , some priests , and the paranormal investigative team of the Warren family . A haunting involving no less than 3 ghosts , a demon , headless dogs , sexual assault , multiple witness accounts , levitations , mysterious bite marks , and one that escalates throughout the entire block .
“Yes . Maybe nothing big . But every day there’s something . “
Review : I decided to read this after watching the latest ” Conjuring ” movie since the book deals with that case . The movie leaves out a lot of stuff and adds some things that I guess might be from another case . Overall , it’s a good book . I can believe that the people involved believe in these hauntings . It was creepy and I finished it one sitting , almost making myself late for work in the process . Read it if you’re the curious type .
” You brought it with you ! It’s in our house now ! “
