Summary : Yusuke is a junior high that lives in Japan . There isn’t any real issues for him . I mean he’s not that popular and his parents are a little strict/cold but for the most part he stays out of trouble . Lately though when he’s been walking to school he sees a girl . She’s dirty , covered in cuts , can’t seem to talk , and has hair made of barb wire (roll credits !) . Naturally this scares him but he also feels a kindred spirit with her (boo !) so he starts leaving her gifts on his walk to school . Then one day he sees her caught on a fence unable to move . He frees her and moves on but he hears that she is actually a ghost . He freed a ghost ? Awesome ! Her spirit can move on now right ? But oh no , it turns out she has fallen in love with our protagonist and she starts haunting him . He gets the yandere ? Lucky bastard , though it does suck for anyone trying to get close to him .

“A lot of kids have gone missing by going through the alleyway . I’m surprised you have the guts to do that everyday .”

Review : A Japanese ghost story written by one of the most prominent bizarro fiction writers ? Sign me up ! This is at times a straight up brutal ghost story but it’s also kind of a sweet romance story . It’s not as weird as I was expecting from this author but that could be just because the Japanese ghost story is already weird and he didn’t feel like he needed to . It’s a short book that has danger on every page . If you’re into ghost stories , body horror , or just want a quick weird read then go get it !
