Summary : Amanda (12) and Josh (11) have just moved in to a town named Dark Falls . The house is left to them by a mysterious uncle of their father . It doesn’t take long for Amanda and Josh to start experiencing weird things going on such as windows being opened with no one there , strange giggling , and the occasional disappearing child . Surely this is just the imagination of two kids getting used to a new environment right ?

Review : This hit the nostalgia button . For those who don’t know this is the first book in the legendary “Goosebumps” series , a series that made a big part of my childhood reading habits … in secret of course . As far as the book’s story goes , it’s a solid haunted house story . It hits all the areas it needs to and doesn’t waste your time . I will say that there are more dead people than I remembered and it’s overall one of the more intense “Goosebumps” books . Give it a shot if you want a haunted house story without being traumatised .
