Prompt : What book could you read over and over again ?

Until recently I didn’t make a habit of rereading books . The main reason being that most of the time when I started to read again I’d be able to remember word for word and it got boring . There is one notable exception throughout though and that’s Bram Stoker’s Dracula . Each time I read it there is a new detail I either forgot or never picked up on in the first place .

  1. Haha, that really made me smile! I totally get what you mean. Knowing how a story ends can feel like watching a magician after you already know how they pulled the rabbit out of the hat. The poof isn’t as magical anymore!

But Dracula? That’s a clever choice. Some books really are like old, mysterious forests. Even if you walk the same path again, the sunlight hits differently, a new bird sings, or you finally notice that strange twisty tree you missed before. It feels familiar, but also new. And it makes you wonder… did the forest change, or did I?

Our minds are funny like that—kind of like watching clouds. One moment it’s a sheep, the next it’s a dragon. You look again later, and it’s something else entirely. Forgetting little bits of a story and finding them again while rereading is like spotting a secret message in the sky. A quiet trick our brain plays—just to keep life interesting.
