Death Sentence by Brian Garfield

Introduction : ” Death Sentence ” by Brian Garfield is a vigilante thriller . It’s a sequel to ” Death Wish ” and avilable as an e-book .

Of the seventeen victims of his retributive vengeance , fourteen had criminal records and two others had been found dead with stolen property on or near their bodies . It was possible he had saved a score of innocent lives . “

Summary : Paul , our illustrious vigilante from ” Death Wish ” , has moved to Chicago to get away from the memories in New York and to continue his bloody brand of justice . He finds himself falling in love with a lawyer named Irene ( come on ) and this combined with observing a rise in vigilante killings makes him rethink things . But before he can hang up his guns for good he must face the consequences of his actions in the form of a Luger toting vigilante .

Inside the drunk’s act he was afraid . You don’t have to try it . You don’t have to die . Don’t come after me . “

Review : I finished this book in one sitting . It’s good , in fact I like it better than ” Death Wish ” . Paul is definitely a more interesting character and the plot moves smoother in my head . The book does occasionally get bogged down in legal philosophy debates as the author felt people misread the first book and he didn’t like the movie adaptation . Check it out !

When you set out to eradicate a disease- bearing species of insects you didn’t hunt for particular individual insects . “
