Summary : Three carny’s have decided to leave the carnival . Now that’s all fine and dandy but there is one more thing involved . Murder , a whole lot of murder . And the town they have descended upon will learn just how large and dark the heart of the small leader truly is . A story of murder , theft , hurt pride , and deception .

Review : I was surprised at how well this book holds up . Look , there was some shall we say outdated language in there but it just makes the book feel grittier . That’s good because at it’s heart this is an old school crime thriller with plenty of colorful characters , a strong plot , a good pace , and overall an entertaining read . In fact , considering the age of the story , I would say it had a heavy influence on most carnival centered dramas today . Buy it if you’re looking for a different kind of crime story or if you’re just interested in old school classics .
