Summary : In a forest near a small village a young hunter named Eragon finds a mysterious stone that appears out of nowhere . Well not of nowhere . There’s elves , magic , and Shades involved but he doesn’t know that . Eragon eventually learns that the stone is actually a dragon egg and soon after some not so nice folks come to the village looking for it . The uncle Eragon was living with soon dies and Eragon has to take off with his dragon . That , ladies and gentlemen , is just the start of the start of this journey .

Review : I avoided reading this book for years . When it first came out I think I was still reading Deltora Quest and just wasn’t interested . Well , I’m glad I changed my mind and finally read it . This has some of the best world building in YA fiction . Like damn , that’s surprising . I’m interested in checking out the rest of the series now . Go and check it out folks .
