Genre : Fantasy / Religious Allegory Format : E-book Pages : 338 Published : 1678

Summary : A man named Christian ( formerly Graceless ) has dreams of his city and his family being burned . He informs his family as well as whomever in the city will listen that they need to leave or they will be destroyed . He is largely mocked and he leaves encountering the Evangelist . The Evangelist informs Christian that he needs to take a pilgrimage to the Celestial City on Mount Zion on the narrow path . Along the way he encounters many threats and temptations trying to divert his path .

Review : The main plot is surprisingly simple yet powerful . The language is beautiful . The message carried in this book from 400 years ago rings as strong today as it was when it was made . A true classic . Read it folks ! Half of the fantasy genre grew out of this story .
