Summary : In a small town in Japan there lies a mysterious tunnel rumored to grant wishes if you set to the end of it . The main drawback being that you age rapidly as you go through it . One day our protagonist , a boy named Karou , happens to stumble upon it alongside a new transfer student , a girl named Anzu Hanashiro . They agree to experiment with the tunnel a little bit till one day Kaoru decides he’s going all the way through so he could possibly reunite with his sister once more .

Review : How would I describe this movie in one word ? Beautiful . The visuals , the music , the story , all beautifully done . This movie is based off a Japanese novel of the same by author Mei Hachimaku and I remember reading it a few years back . The movie hit most of the major beats from the book though there are one or two scenes missing that I would’ve liked to see and they definitely rushed certain parts but overall the important stuff is here . This does feature some abusive family elements and handles them well but just a fair warning . Essentially the movie is a masterfully done urban legend story with a little romance thrown in . Give it a watch folks !
