“It was done for the God’s , “
Summary : Let us meet Cal Jamison , He is an anthropology professor whom just moved to New York with his son Chris after his wife died in a horrific accident . One day he takes his son to a local park and stumbles upon some decapitated animals . Oh and look here , little Chris has found a cool rock . Turns out picking up that rock and coming across the dead animals is all part of a grand voodoo conspiracy that infects every aspect of their lives from that point on . There are some curiosities best left unindulged in .
“You mean , every saint represents a voodoo god .”

Review : I have a confession to make . I watched the movie first . This novel was adapted into a film called “The Believers” and both ( meaning the book and film ) are brilliant . In fact , I’d go as far as to say that they’re essentials for people interested in voodoo fiction or curses in general . The book is better , gets into a lot more detail about the voodoo culture , but the movie managed to keep the spirit of the book . I highly recommend them both !!! Get it folks !
” those kids we find looking so god damn glad to die … those kids were sacrificed . “
