Book Review : Hellraiser : Bloodline – The Original Screenplay by Peter Atkins

Genre : Horror / Science Fiction / Movie Tie – In Format : E-book Pages : 204 Published : 2021

Summary : This story follow the Lemarchand family ( the family that developed the Lament Configuration , a box that opens the realm of the dreaded Cenobites ) through 3 separate time periods ( old France , Modern Day New York, and the Future on a space station )as they try to get rid of the Cenobite menace once and for all . All the while trying to resist the temptations of the demon princess Angelique and save their families .

Review : So as the title suggests this is the original screenplay of the fourth “Hellraiser” film and dear Lord I wish the movie stuck to this script . It is leaps and bounds better than what the studio released . Now is it as good as Clive Barker’s stories and / or the first two movies ? No , but it’s hard to match that and it’s still a fun read . I’m not going to say this is a must read but if you’re a “Hellraiser” fan and curious , go for it .
