Summary : Let us meet Dilvish , he is a half elf warrior once referred to as the deliverer , now referred to as the damned . How did this happen ? Well Dilvish at one point tried to save a young woman from a dark sorcerer named Jelerak . Dilvish fails and for his trouble Jelerak turns Dilvish into stone and sends Dilvish’s soul to Hell . Unfortunatley for Jelerak that doesn’t finish Dilvish off . It takes hundreds of years but his soul returns to his body , the body frees itself of stone , he now has magical knowledge from Hell , a cool talking metal horse named Black , and most importantly a score to settle . Dilvish takes the time for a few side quests along the way including but not limited to saving damsels , releasing cursed legions , meeting old gods , seducing vampires , navigating sorcerer mazes , and feeding werewolves .

Review : I can’t believe I’ve never heard of this guy before . This is an awesome story with a badass main character doing crazy stuff all throughout . The fight scenes are great , the dialogue is crisp , the story keeps you engaged , and there is a sense of humor mixed throughout that never gets to the point where it takes away from the threat felt inside the book . If you’re a fantasy fan or just want to read a story about an asskicker then go get this book !
