“Will you teach me how to smile like that ? “

Summary : Two Japanese teenagers bond over a common interest in the macabre . At one point they find a journal that belongs to a serial killer . Now normal people would hand this over to the police but not our protagonists . Oh no , they decide to use this journal to find dead bodies and indulge in their dark curiosity . Come read a tale with murders on efery corner , false identities reign supreme , voyeurism , cruelty , and a hint of teen romance .
“Sadly , though , neither of us had the kind of conscience that was bothered by keeping it ourselves . We were cruel , reptilion high school kids .”

Review : Don’t take this the wrong way but this does remind me of some of my high school life . The friends bonded by macabre interests , the perpetual posing , etc . all feel familiar to me , the author nailed this sect … minus the murder because of course we wouldn’t do that . Or at least I don’t think so , haven’t heard from most of them in awhile though . What I’m trying to say is … buy this book now .
“Nice color – would make even a dead body look beautiful … but when you hanged yourself , the links would probably bite into your skin .”
