Summary : This is a story all about how Varney the vampire flipped the Bannersworth’s family upside down (hahaha laugh damn it !) . After the young Flora is assaulted one night the Bannersworth’s realize they have a serious and ancient foe to the family , the dreaded vampire ! Follow the Bannerworth’s as well as Varney the Vampire through a long , deep , Gothic tragedy .

Review : Okay , let’s start with the positives . The novel has a great atmosphere , I like the characters , and Varney is a surprisingly deep villain . The negatives or really just one big negative … the book is just way too damn long for what it is . Cut it in half and you’ll still have an awesome Gothic novel . Look , if you’re a vampire fanatic or just a Gothic fiction enjoyer then pick it up , but look for an abridged version .
