Genre : Horror / Animation Watched : Hidive Director/Scriptwriter : Saku Sakamoto Starring : Maaya Uchida / Mamiko Noto / Moe Mi / Kana Hanazawa

Summary : 3 girls ( Yu , Tamahi , Aki) in Japan go to a place where people disappear after one of the girls ( Tamahi ) witness a suicide there . Pretty soon weird stuff starts happening such as disembodied voices , objects moving on their own , and shadow people popping in and out . Within the first 8 minutes one of the friends gets stabbed , so yeah , this movie isn’t wasteing time . Come watch this film involving Kafka – esque imagery , bugs wearing human bodies , shadow people , and so much more dark creepy stuff .

Review : To start this off , I didn’t learn this was a prequel to another film ( Aragne : Sign of Vermillion) until afterwards so I’m seeing this movie without all the proper context . I guess I’ll check out the other movies soon . But as for “The Feast of Amrita” … it’s a mixed bag . On one hand the story is a good trip , some of the imagery is creepy as hell , the music creates a sinister atmosphere , and I think the acting is on point . On the other hand the CG is pretty bad at times , and the film could be longer. I think it’s worth a watch overall , check it out !
