Summary : Let us meet Carly Beth . She’s an elementary school girl with a slight problem . You could call her a scaredy cat . It seems everyone at school is either scaring her or laughing at her being scared . So for this Halloween she has decided she’ll turn the tables and start scareing them back . To do this she goes to a costume shop and gets a super scary mask that the shop owner was a little bit reluctant to sell . She tries it on and it totally works . She’s scareing her brother , her bullies , and even her friends . But there’s a cost to this , apparently this mask is starting to change her personality , and it won’t let her take it off !

Review : I’m glad I decided to read this again . The nostalgia hit me hard . It’s a classic children’s story that combines cursed objects , mad scientists , and the traditional be careful what you wish for . If you got kids or just want to check out what we were reading in the 90’s I would highly recommend it .
