Summary : The book starts off with some kids telling an urban legend revolving around a teen named Misaki who died in a crash . The details are hazy but a curse is now around the classroom that Misaki once attended , class 3-C . Enter Koichi Sakakibara several generations later .Koichi is a student transferring to class 3-C and his troubles start before he can even start . His left lung collapses so he misses the first few days of school but he does meet a mysterious girl with one eye named … Mei Misaki . He meets her again when he finally attends class but he notices something odd . No one else is acknowledging her … surely this isn’t a bad sign .

Review : This feels like a classic urban legend story .It hits all the beats of a good supernatural mystery while having a style all it’s own . Looking forward to the rest of the series .
