Summary : Danielle Howard and Lother Ludvitski are “wildlife specialists ” searching for a ” bear ” that killed the sheriff of a small rural town named Jason . Of course the specialists are really werewolves and the bears that theyhave been hunting are Canadian vampires ( I’m assuming the vampires crossed into America because they were sick of maple syrup flavored blood ) so obviously the “specialists” want to keep things on the down low . That means keeping outside parties from going into the woods to look for said “bears” but there is a slight problem . You see Jason has a detective brother named Nick and Nick ain’t buying this bearshit ( I couldn’t help myself ) . Nick has taken it upon himself to investigate his brother’s death and he isn’t going to let some “specialists” tell him what to do , even if he thinks one of them is cute . Things get further complicated because Danielle has taken a strong sniff of him and likes how he smells and it causes her to bite him . We don’t kink shame here . You see it turns out that Nick is a Carrier which means werewolves find him extra breedable and it causes emotins to flare up between them which also causes some tension between Danielle and Lothar .That’s right folks , we got ourselves a werewolf love triangle . So how do they resolve their personal issues while also being on the hunt for vampires ? Come find out in this tale of family bonds , supernatural hormones , and the life saving power of virginity !

Review : Think “Grimm” meets “Days of Our Lives” or “Twin Peaks” and you’ll get the vibes of the story . It’s a good romance with lots of tension (sexual and otherwise ) and a real physical threat in the background . I kinda feel like Nick should’ve been more involved with the big vampire confrontation at the end as it was his brother that was murdered and it would’ve been a slightly more cathartic ending but I tend to read more thrillers so my mind was probably focused on the wrong aspects . It’s a beautiful book so you have no reason not to sniff it out , you can really sink your teeth into it , it’s a howling good time , I’ll stop with the jokes here so I don’t “were” them out. Please don’t judge me . I am looking forward to the next book in this series .

I would also recommend the tv series “Grimm” . Reading this book made me want to rewatch that show .
