“The tumor is actually moving , like there’s something under the skin that’s alive .”
Summary : Meet Karen Tandy . She’s seeing Dr. Jack Hughes for a growth on her they believe to be cancer but a strange thing occurs … the tumor begins to move . They agree to remove it but before the surgery she talks to a mystic named Harry Eskrine about a reoccurring dream about an old Dutch ship . The surgery does not go as planned and Harry decides to investigate the dream which leads to a Native American medicine man named Singing Rock and an epic showdown of spirits in the hospital .
“There is something in that ship that is alien , something powerful and magical , and I am desperate about it .”
Review : It’s dark , weird , and mysterious . Think of it as a Lovecraftian take on Native American mythology with a side of medical mystery . Which reminds me I should probably talk about some of Lovecraft’s stories at a future date . I recommend it for anyone with a taste of the odd and dark .
“Mr.Erskine , in that event we will do what we always do . If it is a child , and it’s normal and healthy , we’ll do everything we can to save it . If it turns out to be a monster – well, we have injections that can dispose of it quietly and quickly .”
