He knows that women like a man who’s good to his family and also kind to the disabled , so hugging me is a double whammy of recommendation . “

Summary : Meet Sookie Stackhouse . She’s a strong willed , respectful , Louisiana waitress with the ability to read minds . Her life gets more complicated when she ends up saving Bill Compton ( a sexy vampire man ) from getting his blood drained out by a couple of drug dealers , It’s love at first sight between the two and her already complicated small town life gets even more complicated . See in this day and age synthetic blood has made it now that vampires can come out in the open and they have human fans called fang bangers ( a term that I’ve fallen in love with myself ) and not everyone is okay with it . In fact , there is a serial killer on the loose and they are killing fang bangers . If that wasn’t bad enough for Sookie , the top two suspects are Sookie’s brother and her lover . Come follow her as she tries to clear their names , deals with the vampire mafia , her grandmothers death , angry vigilantes , awkward shapeshifters , undead Elvis , and most dangerous of her all … her raging hormones !

Since vampire blood was supposed to temporarily relieve symptoms of illness and increase sexual potency , kind of like Prednisone and Viagra rolled into one , there was a huge black market for genuine , undiluted vampire blood . “

Review : ” Dead Until Dark” is exactly what I was looking for in a paranormal romance . It’s at times funny , dark , spicy, and mysterious . The characters are likable , Sookie has to deal with real threats , there is a followable plot , the romance might be fast but still believable , no complaints whatsoever . Get it if that’s your thing .

Well , if it doesn’t have to do with my physical charms , or the unusual quality of my blood , it must have to do with my … little quirk . “
