To quote the great Mark Twain ” Patriotism is supporting your country all the time , and your government when it deserves it .” I like to think of myself as patriotic . The importance of patriotism was heavily empathised in scouts and I’ve always loved reading our history . Think the United States has done more good than bad . I know we’ve helped save the rest of the world on multiple occasions and the principles our nation was founded upon puts us in a unique position in history . Could not for the life of me think of another nation I’d want to be a part of . Our government frustrates me at times but the best thing about a republic is that eventually everyone gets replaced .
